Lights, Camera, Action

With the popcorn ceiling removed it's time to update the lighting fixtures.  Here's what the old fixtures looked like.

Our plans are to build an island for the breakfast nook area so I wanted a fixture that would look amazing over it.  So, off to Lowes I went.  They have these great pendant lights that allow you to pick the style of the pendant and globe.  I decide on a black three light pendant bar by Portfolio (model # CPD-36MBK, cost $49.97) with 4-3/4-inch Granite Storm Glass Shade also by Portfolio (model # N331GM, cost $14.98/ea).

We kept the other fixture but painted it black so that it would match.

Next weekend we tackle painting the ceiling.
